Sarah Adams

Registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner
Queensland Law Society Accredited Specialist – Family Law

Biography

Sarah Adams has been a registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (mediator) since 2009.

Sarah commenced her mediation practice in 2007 in the early days of the government funded Family Relationship Centres.  Working with a number of different providers, Sarah obtained extensive experience and training in all aspects of family dispute resolution including child inclusive practice.  In 2017 Sarah returned to her roots and now volunteers and assists the Toowoomba Family Relationship Centre with complex family dispute resolution, in addition to her private legal practice with Murdoch Lawyers.

Sarah completed her law degree also in 2009 and commenced practicing exclusively in family law.  In 2017 Sarah was recognised by the Queensland Law Society as an Accredited Family Law Specialist.  Throughout Sarah’s practice in family law, Sarah has maintained and expanded her dispute resolution skills.  Sarah has an in-depth understanding, obtained by years of practicing in family law, of the importance and necessity of avoiding family law litigation and working towards settling matters at the earliest opportunity in the most cooperative and cost-effective method.

Recognised as a leading Family Lawyer in Toowoomba, Darling Downs & Western Queensland 2019

Sarah approaches all dispute resolution matters with an impartial and equitable focus.  Concerned with not only discussing each client’s legal ‘rights’ and ‘entitlements,’ Sarah is also concerned with ensuring practical and solution focused mediation outcomes.  Whatever the dispute, whether relevant to children, property or child support, Sarah is able to assist parties, reach workable, commercial and practical agreements.
