Biography

Andrew Crooke Director, Accredited Specialist Family Law

My name is Andrew Crooke and I am a Director of the Murdoch Lawyers Family Law team based in both our Brisbane and Toowoomba offices. I was admitted as a Solicitor in 1994 and I’ve worked at Murdoch Lawyers since 2004. I have been a Director at Murdochs since 2009 and have practiced exclusively in Family Law for over 20 years. I am a Nationally Accredited Mediator and Collaboratively Trained Professional.

I work between both the Toowoomba and Brisbane offices, and also travel regularly to assist clients in other locations including Darwin, New South Wales, far north Queensland and other regional areas throughout Queensland and Australia. I also assist clients who are currently employed or living overseas, such as members of the Australian Defence Force.

I am a former President of the University of Southern Queensland Cricket Club Toowoomba and have coached several junior representative cricket teams in the region. I regularly support different charitable organisations with sponsorship and or attendance at events including Legacy Brisbane, Young Care, CARP and 42 to 42.

I am a previous President of the Downs and South Western Queensland Law Association and have served on committees with The Queensland Law Society mentor programme. I was part of the Toowoomba Collaborative Law Pilot programme.

I have extensive experience in all facets of Family Law and legal issues that arise from relationship breakdowns. My specialisation includes Binding Financial Agreements, complex family trusts or company arrangements, representing third parties and advising trustee’s in bankruptcy who have been joined into property disputes. I assist parties in obtaining or defending Domestic Violence Orders. I work regularly with people involved in farming ventures, mining, earthmoving, transport, building and construction, fisheries and general business. I have also represented parties in overseas international and interstate relocation cases.

I have undertaken significant training and worked with parties in Collaborative Law matters over the last 12 years.
