Brad Corby

Brad is Lawyer and part of our family law team located in the Murdoch Lawyers Brisbane office.

My name is Brad Corby, I reside in Brisbane during the week and return to my home at Sunrise Beach each weekend. I have worked as a Family Law Mediator for the past 10 years and prior to that owned a Financial Planning business that specialised in Family Law property settlement advice.

I spend my weekends surfing or patrolling the beach as a life saver at Noosa Heads SLSC. I was awarded the national rescue of the month in December 2017 and thoroughly enjoy the challenges and comradery that lifesaving brings.

I was previously the president of the Make a Wish Foundation for 5 years when I lived in Brisbane. I now provide my experience in charity and community by contributing my time to local projects. My latest project is to provide a defibrillator, oxygen and life saving rescue equipment to Hikkaduwa Beach in Sri Lanka after I attempted the resuscitation of a drowning victim. The local beach does not have any such luxuries.

Surfing is a passion and I enjoy supporting our local juniors and have sourced numerous Government Grants in the past to assist them in their endeavours.

I have experience in mediation with children, property, child support and financial option creation. I have undertaken advanced training in Collaborative Law over the past 10 years and seek to develop this area of Law. I am currently undertaking a Masters in Financial Planning and soon will be attending Harvard Law School to participate in Mediation and Negotiation Skills training with some of the World leaders in these areas.

My network of Financial Planners, Accountants and other specialists assist my clients in making informed choices and utilising the co-operative experts in providing a better outcome for all parties.
