Barry Johnson

Barry is a Special Counsel in our Future Planning Team.

Biography

I have more than 30 years’ experience as a solicitor. I joined Murdoch Lawyers in 2021, as Special Counsel as part of the Murdoch Lawyers and Crouch & Lyndon merger, where I had previously spent 12 years as the managing principal.

In my 30+ years as a legal practitioner, I have been fortunate enough to have some great experiences, one highlight was basing myself in London for a few years.

I have experience in a number of practice areas with my specialties being commercial law, estate planning and the administration of deceased estates.

I am also a Notary Public, which means I have the ability to sign legal documents which can be used in Australia and overseas.

I enjoy working on estate matters, ranging from drafting simple wills to assisting with complex estate and business succession planning.

Outside of work I enjoy golf and am a member of the Indooroopilly Golf Club. I have been married for 43 years, with 2 adult children and 2 grandchildren.
