I was fortunate to be trained and mentored as an estate planner by Tom McVeigh and Leanne Matthewson many moons ago, and am grateful to have “returned to the fold” in 2023 to continue my career in the future planning team at Murdoch Lawyers.
In addition to my previous years at Murdochs, I have enjoyed a varied background as a lawyer including plaintiff and estate litigation, employment law and, most recently, a number of years in family law.
This broad legal experience, particularly my time as a family lawyer, has led me back to Murdochs, to help my clients to positively and proactively plan for the future and avoid unintended problems arising down the track.
My overriding driver as a lawyer is to help people. I value family and connection, and am keenly aware both from my legal background and my personal experiences as a member of a large extended family that all client’s situations and family circumstances are unique and at times complex.
Clients have told me that my warmth and genuine care for them has allowed them to relax and feel comfortable to share their stories with me, which can otherwise be hard when visiting a legal office!
I enjoy the challenge of understanding what my clients need, and tailoring an estate plan to achieve their goals for themselves and their families.
