Workplace Bullying

Workplace Bullying

Workplace bullying can harm a person which is why employer’s are required to take reasonably practicable measures to prevent it from occurring and minimising its detrimental impact.

Workplace bully is repeated and unreasonable behaviour directed towards a worker or a group of workers that creates a risk to health and safety.  It is not an isolated incident or reasonable management action, taken in a reasonable way.

Workplace bullying is a workers compensation issue, WH&S issue and employment issue.

It can lead to a workers compensation claim, a WH&S complaint and an application to the Fair Work Commission for an order to stop the bullying.
