Underperformance

Where an employee is not performing to the required standard they will often be put onto a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).

The purpose of a PIP is to identify the areas for improvement, clarify an employer’s expectations and the consequences if performance does not improve by the required timeframe.

Discipline action may need to be taken including warnings and if the justified dismissal.
