Biography

My name is Kaylah Vejle. I have been a paralegal in the Family Law team for the past 2 years.

I assist with the day to day running of files, preparation of correspondence and documents. I have previously worked in a Family Law environment but have also had exposure to other areas of law such as Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Conveyancing and Criminal Law, which I believe creates a greater depth to my knowledge in order to assist our Family Lawyers and service our clients.

I love the challenge that Family Law brings. It is such a diverse area of Law that is constantly changing and requires me to constantly learn and update my skills. Working in Family Law also means that I am interacting with client’s that are currently experiencing difficult times in their lives. I strive to be an understanding an empathic point of contact for our clients during these difficult times.

I have completed my Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Laws with University of Southern Queensland, graduating with Honours. I have completed my Graduate Diploma of Practical Legal Training with the Queensland University of Technology in 2016 and was admitted as a Lawyer of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2016.

I grew up in a small town called Laidley, where I attended school and participated in a variety of sporting activities. I would describe myself as a ‘sporty’ person and enjoy most sports however my passion lies with football (soccer) which I have played and refereed for the majority of my life. However,  I am currently taking a break from football to enjoy being a first time mum to my son and watching him grow and learn. In my spare time, you will often find me out and about with my family and friends enjoying the outdoors and making the most of my son’s milestones as he grows.
