Dean Foley

Dean is a Special Counsel and an Accredited Specialist in our Family Law Team.

I was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia in 2006, and since that time I have practiced exclusively in family law and associated fields. I am based in the Brisbane office of Murdoch Lawyers.

With over a decade of experience in the family law area, I have developed a broad knowledge of the family law field and have also specialised in some niche areas, such as cases involving governmental agencies and property outside of Australia, parenting matters involving allegations of child violence and property settlements involving a bankrupt party/trustee in bankruptcy.

I pride myself on collaborating with a team of highly qualified professionals in a variety of fields to produce the best outcomes for all clients, ensuring their needs, legal or otherwise, are met. Those outcomes include estate planning matters, restructuring of corporate/trust entities, and addressing underlying taxation issues.

In addition to my practice, I am also a regular contributor to a number of legal journals published by Thomson Reuters, as well as presenting seminars on various aspects of family law to professionals in other industries or fields of law.
